What are the peak months for bat complaints in most of the U.S.?

June and July

Bats are most active and most likely to roost in buildings during the summer when they are raising young and foraging heavily. Births occur in late spring, and pups fledge in early to mid-summer, so there are more bats around structures and more opportunities for them to enter buildings or be noticed by people. This increases complaints during the early to mid-summer period, especially June and July. In colder months, bats hibernate or reduce activity, so encounters drop significantly, and late summer starts to wind down as pups disperse. That combination makes June and July the peak months for bat complaints in most of the U.S.
